Be sure to let the guardian of the student living with epilepsy know as soon as possible that a seizure has occurred (unless the instructions he or she has given the school require a different course of action).
We encourage you to use a seizure incident form to help you offer your student’s parents important information about their child’s seizure. This may help should the student need further care or treatment.

Informing the classmates’ parents You will also want to let the parents of other students in the class know that a seizure has occurred. We’ve put together a fact sheet that you can send home with students. This form offers information about seizures and epilepsy that may help parents open a dialogue with their children regarding what they witnessed.
