Epilepsy and the Classroom: A Parent's Resource

School is a central part of your child's life—important to their development socially, emotionally, and intellectually. This is a place where children go to learn, build relationships, and grow their minds. As a parent of a child living with epilepsy, you do all you can to balance your child’s health needs with their educational needs and their desire to be just a regular kid at school. Our goal is to help you achieve that balance.

Send your child to school—confidently

This website was developed to provide you with the tools you need as a parent. As the advocate for your child, you can help change the perception of epilepsy in your child’s school. The Epilepsy Classroom program works to educate your child’s teachers but also works to empower your child to go to school confidently each day.

On this site, you will find:
Which faculty and school staff to inform of your child’s epilepsy
How to talk with your child’s teachers
