Dear Educators:

Welcome to the Epilepsy Classroom Web site.

Although epilepsy awareness is not always at the forefront of classroom education, we feel that it is an important topic to bring to your classroom. As you may know, epilepsy is often surrounded by fear and negativity. Usually it’s just misunderstood. This is why we are so excited to have helped to create the Epilepsy Classroom Program.

As a neurologist and a professor of education (as well as husband and wife), we drew upon our own professional experience to help develop Epilepsy Classroom—with enthusiastic support from Epilepsy Advocate™. We invite you to use this Web site to help raise the awareness of epilepsy in your classroom by educating not only yourself, but also your students.

We thank you for helping to bring epilepsy awareness to your school and hope that it adds to the growth of young minds.

Sincerely,

G. Dean Timmons, MD
Beverly Timmons, EdD
